This page features some summaries of past club rides that haven't been dumped by over zealous webmonkeys when this website was in it's infancy...
To the Lizard - Sunday 17th February
16 wheelers set off from the usual place on a beautiful sunny day. There was a keen easterly wind but conditions were good. Red Leader had to peel off to attend to mother's birthday celebrations and Steve and Amanda had to retire early to catch up on some homework. Don G took us up an eyewateringly steep hill, Richard fell in love again with an old friend (a rather nice Raleigh), and there was a 'Bermuda Triangle' moment at Cadgwith involving 2 ladies.
Pictures loaded in the gallery - thanks Paul.
Full report to follow...
Sunday 10th February
With the weather dictating club rides to be every fortnight at least turnouts for the nine o'clock have been excellent. As Don Gunner was tied up celebrating the Chinese new year, Red Leader decided the 18 riders should head west to St.Ives. At Black Rock the sun appeared and this enabled the Wheelers to enjoy lunch el fresco on the slipway at St.Ives. Four riders seperated from the main group whilst leaving the town via Portminster beach & Primrose hill followed a Red Leader tip - 'Stay put and someone's bound to come looking for us....' - Jono & Scalatchi were our rescuers.
Usual route home with Steve and Amanda 'nominated' to write a full report.
Sunday 27th January
As there was no club ride last week due to (Best ever.. ..) Wheelers dinner dance, a large group of riders took advantage of fantastic but frosty weather to ride to Perranporth. Dons route took us up the Bissoe Valley and on via the backlanes to the cheapest cafe in Cornwall (Tea and Teacake £1.30 - ordered by Don and Red Leader).
Back via Chacewater and the Poldice Valley. Good collection of pics in the photo gallery -

Sunday 13th January
Storm force winds and rain meant that all rides were cancelled - however its rumoured that Mickie C. was at HQ at 10.00 and wondered where everyone was. Don Gunner deciding that a brisk walk across the seafront was a good substitute, spotted Jono on his mountain bike, hanging on like grim death.

Great riding discipline was shown by all as we passed the Star Inn - yes we could even smell the Roasties...Full report to follow.
10.00am
From the desk of Red Leader - Six riders turned up for the 10am start with an unusual fifty fifty split between male and female.Under Mickys expert leadership we left HQ and hurtled down and through Budock, around Treverva to Mawnan and onto Meanporth where refreshments were taken at the Cove. Home via Pennance hill etc. Good ride, good company and good weather. Welcome to Kath, another Tricross rider.
Boxing Day Ride
A good turnout of in excess of 44 wheelers & friends met at
HQ on a surprisingly mild, sunny day. Highlights of the town run was Charley on the Pashley classic trike (braving Hillhead with just a front brake) and Jill dressed as a glamorous christmas tree (see Photo Gallery...).
Coffee and mince pies at the Waterfront were enjoyed by all, though Don G was spotted having a couple of beers! (just as well his wife doesn't have internet access).
Best ever -
photographs now loaded - (thanks Bob) with a full report to follow.
Club Ride - Sunday 23rd December
On a mild windless day, twenty one wheelers made it to the
Star Inn at Porkellis
for roasties and a pint. Red Leader noted that club events always had a good turn out where the word pub was mentioned...
The 9.00 am ride went via Gweek, Goonhilly & Mullion, whilst the 10.00 am ride, expertly led by KK went via the seafront and then onto Porkellis.
Thanks must go to Trevor for organising the venue & the landlord for the free roasties and a welcoming, friendly attitude. However concern was expressed that Jono was unable to face his demons in the village where he had his fall and broke his ribs...... Full report to follow.
Club Ride - Sunday 16th December
After a three week layoff because of bad weather a good turnout of ten riders started the Don Gunner loop to St Ives. A dry if cold morning greeted us but it was well worth the effort. Full report and details to come from the Barnicoat twin strikers. Please attend on Thursday and confirm your Dinner tickets with KK.
Goonhavern Pathfinder Ride - Sunday 11/11

A message from our illustrious leader:
'I was very pleased with the turnout on Sunday - thanks to Paul and Hilary for a good route well done to those who did the full monty and went all the way! Really glad to see KK back on the bike and keeping up with the pack. Sending best wishes to Jono and hope he's back soon.'Red Leader signing off for now. HTML Box (Custom Content)
