What’s on in September


Sept 3rd – Tour of Britain, Exeter to Barnstable, See Richard’s report here.

Sept 12th, Weds – The Hill Climb at Weir Hill, 6.30pm – meet at HQ at 6pm or go direct.  Hilary and Paul will provide food after the event.  Electric bikes welcome and will have their own class. More details here.

Sept 16th – Pathfinder on the Roseland, led by Kath, Liz and Paula.  Meet at Trelissick at 10:00 for coffee and parking if you need it; NT members free, otherwise £4.  We’ll catch the 10:40 ferry.  Lunch at Portscatho where there’s choice of lunch venues – the Plume of Feathers pub, the little take-away cafe on the seafront, or the pasty shop. Only 20 miles from ferry to ferry but with plenty of hills to enjoy!!  Ferry fare 50p each way for cyclists. Total distance from Falmouth of approximately 40 miles.

Sept 23rd – St Columb Coast and Clay Sportive.  100, 68, 44, and 23 mile distances. Details on website.

Sept 30th – Mawnan Fun Run needs three cycling marshals from 9.15 to 11.30, if you can help.

Wednesday evening Pub Rides: meet 6pm at HQ

Sept 5th – The Black Swan at Gweek

Sept 12th – The Lemon Arms at Mylor after the Hill Climb

Sept 19th –  The New Inn at Mabe

Sept 26th – The Stag Hunt at Ponsanooth, with chips! organised by Richard

Oct 14th – The New Forest Gridiron event still appears to have places available, £10. Details on website.

Oct 18th – Quiz set by Fred and Simon.  Pasties paid for by the raffle – please bring an unwrapped prize.

Oct 20th Saturday – Peddle and Puff with FRR, 10am at the Pitch and Putt

Oct 21st – Audax events from Wall. 60km and 100km.

Nov 15th – Film night
