I’m not sure whether there has been a reduction in seating but, IMO, it is less flexible, and less suitable for larger groups of Wheelers. You may like the new arrangements and new menu but the new price list means it has lost all of the advantages of this "cake stop" other than its nearness to home.

A good choice on a wet or sunny day, having several routes to get there and inside and outside seating. Usually busy but always a good welcome and reasonable menu at reasonable prices. Don’t forget a bag of food for the swans and ducks before you sit down to your own breakfast.
