The Atlantic café, on the carpark in Portreath, is usually busy but you are sure to be welcomed and no fuss about moving tables round for a larger group. The round table in the corner can seat ten with no problem. There is a very large menu but a “small” breakfast, at £4.85, bacon sandwich, at £2.95, or toasted teacake, at £1.00, seems to satisfy most Wheelers. This is a regular stopping point for all of the groups that ride on Wednesday mornings.
