You are as likely to be seated next to a group of ladies out for lunch, a family celebrating with a birthday meal or a table full of truckers, so half a dozen lycra clad OGIL will go unnoticed by everyone but the staff. A visit to Smokey Joes, aka Lilly the Pinks by OGIL, due to the exterior colour scheme, is usually reserved for the wettest of Wednesdays. it is invariably very busy but service is quick, it has to be to satisfy HGV drivers, and the food is adequate and cheap. A large breakfast is £6.50 (a small for £1 less), bacon sandwich, £3.00, eggs on toast, £3.20, and a mug of coffee is £1.50. I don’t think its wise to ask for a skinny latte, but I might be wrong.
