Hi, just home from taking part in the London 100 another great ride with much better weather this year! Over 29,000 riders took part and it amazes me how well organised it is with every rider crossing the start line exactly on the designated minute!! There were 7 Wheelers this year, Jan, Jo, myself, Tania, Richard, Ian and John Hyslop who was riding with his wife, Geraldine, and son and crossed the finish line as a family! Geraldine and another in our group, Louise, are from the Breeze Belles. We all really enjoyed it – lots of sunshine, but several bad crashes with Louise and I having to wait twice for ambulances to get through! 3 climbs and so good to ride on closed roads for 100 miles! Jan did an amazing time of 5.40 approx and we all got the big Prudential Ride London 100 medal for our efforts! (They ran out of medals so some will have to wait to get theirs posted to them Ed). The on-line entries are already open for next year’s event but I think twice is enough for me! Well done to all the team and those for whom it was their first 100 miler! Paula.
