Welcome to 2021 and from here we will look forward to all of our lovely coffee stops being open and thriving and lots more cycling events taking place.
It was really unfortunate timing that we had to cancel the annual trip to Robin and Gills on New Years Day but I’m sure that once the Lockdown restrictions are eased then their garage will be welcoming us with open arms again. (I will have to check this with Robin though)
I have entered an Sportive event in Somerset in April and if our Audax takes place they will probably be on the same weekend. Nothing wrong with that, the more cycling the better. I think it’s probably necessary to have something to aim for. I have a book describing the North Coast 500 route and I have in my mind that this will happen in June. Again something to plan ahead for.
Falmouth sounded just like it did in previous years at midnight with lots of fireworks and all of the ships blasting their horns and Jules Holland was playing some pretty decent music on the TV. I’m sure the fireworks will be back with a vengeance next year.
