Phil C asked me to read on his behalf –
‘I would like to apologise for not being in person tonight but the dreaded Covid has finally caught up with me for the first time!
I would like to say a very big thanks for all the messages and cards from the members following the passing of Hilary.
Its good to know the friends I have amongst you all, it’s meant a great deal to me at this time.
I would also like to thank all those that donated to my 10km Run for Life last Sunday. With your help I managed
to raise a total of £504 for Cancer Research.

Past events included Martyn’s Audax event, Lizard/camel/Red river, blue sea. Robin and Phil B rode the 200km, Ian, Dean, Denise and Don M rode the 100km and Trevor, Barbara and Sonja the 50km. Thanks to the everyone that helped out at the controls, Simon, Trevor S and apologies If I’ve missed anyone out.
Future events –
Bike Week social rides on Wednesday 7th June. Starting at 1830 on Falmouth Moor. A short inclusive ride for any ability. The end venue to be confirmed.
Saturday 10th June at 1330 meeting at HQ. A longer ride of about 20 miles, ending at The Cornish Barrista, Via Ferrata, Halvasso.

Wednesday 21st June. Raymond memorial social ride to the blue Anchor, Helston. 6pm at HQ
Sunday 18th June – Audax, Mines and Minerals (off-road 66km or road 67km) Please enter online and add your food order (pasty, Vegan or meat) £7 for AUK or Cycling UK members, if not it’s £10. Simon will let Wheelers join on the day but the food is order only. Any queries, contact Simon.
Social events
Steve and Paula are organising a BBQ for 21st July at Swanpool Beach (or 28th July if it needs to change due to the weather). Steve would like to know of anyone has a large BBQ that we could use.
Breakfast ride. 2nd July. We’ll start early and head to Jens Diner, Redruth for breakfast. Times to be confirmed
