Short ride – Sunday 4th October

Great day for cycling, with sunshine, warmth and very little wind 👌

Only 12 members made it to HQ, where we split into two groups for a short/medium ride and a longer ride to Lamorna.

Shorter ride enjoyed a well paced route that climbed Halvasso on our way to Penmarth and Penhalvean. Resisting the temptation of Bees Cakes we climbed toward Four Lanes before turning right and swooping down to Burncoose Nursery on our way to Pulla Cross, Cusgarne and a refreshment stop at Saint Piran cafe ☕️🥪

Refreshed, we made our way up to Playing Place before looping round Feock, Point and and Devoran.

The ride split here, with two taking on ‘suicide’ alley and the remainder climbing up through Perranwell Station, down to Perranarworthal and home via Penryn.

A lovely ride, with only one navigational error, that resulted in a bit of off roading 😮. 30’ish miles, 2,500’ of climbing and a lot of fun. A great shame that more members don’t ride on the Club Rides, but it does mean there’s more room on the road for those that do 😊🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️
