The cycling gods answered our prayers! The excellent weather started as we arrived in Edinburgh. The 360 degree panoramic views of the city are from the cocktail bar in the “W” building (known to the locals as the walnut whip!). On to Inverness for the event where we were lucky enough to have a bathroom in our hotel big enough for us and two re-assembled bikes! April’s Pathfinder took riders to The Roseland to cycle a well planned route to St Anthony’s Head. Meeting outside Trelissick Gardens in time to catch the 9.40 we rode down the hill and prepared for our Roseland adventure. Just a quick reminder – this month’s Club Meeting (26th March) will be preceded by a talk on electric vehicles (EVs) by Simon Hart who’s been owning/driving them since 2017. The format will be a short video, followed by a short talk (which will include challenges to some of the commonly held beliefs about EVs) rounded off with Q&A. So if you are considering making the change come along and take advantage of Simon’s knowledge and experience!
Members of Falmouth Wheelers Cycling Club celebrated International Women’s Day by holding a mass cycle ride from Falmouth Business Park to Via Ferrata Cornwall at the Goodygrane Activity Centre, Halvasso. Don Gunner (left) passed away on Tuesday the 17th of February 2026 aged 88 years. Don was one of the founder members of Falmouth Wheelers Cycle club he was known for his relaxed riding style and cheerful disposition always ready to encourage new members and enjoyed showing members how to maintain their bikes.
