Please can we have your Achievement and WOW awards nominations as soon as possible. Please see either Me, Liz or Sonjia. Liz and I will be at the Quiz on Thursday so please have a word with us on Thursday. Achievements and WOW's can be big or small so think hard as to who you feel should receive the awards.

Minutes of the October meeting now in the members area of the Forum.
As I mentioned at the meeting, and now put up on the Audax Kernow site, there is an AUK offer that essentially gives you your ยฃ3 supplement back if you rode on the Celtic Coastal/Canter as a non-AUK member and now want to join. The direct AUK link for details is https://www.audax.uk/join-us/. Benefits: the magazine is a good read/inspiring/terrifying, you save the ยฃ3 each ride, and you get to buy an Audax Kernow jersey if you want one.
Weโve managed to secure the studio at Falmouth school Sports Hub for WattBike training on both Wednesday evenings at 6:30 and Friday evenings at 6:00. Let me know whether you want to attend either session.
Interesting article - What's in a name. A territory familiar to me and near to where I used to live and cycle. Trewherry, Tregustick, Nanswhyden, Trerice, Rialton, Talskiddy and others - you may not know or recall, but I am sure Wheelers have been through these at some time since I have been riding with the club. A bit of trivia. On the return from Sunday's ride (my part of it) I thought I would recheck the so-called "4-mile hill" - have I got nothing better to do you may say! Starting at the very bottom where the road crosses the stream - after about half a mile there is a very slight dip (enough to freewheel for a few yards), then the 'climb' continues until 2,7 miles when it definitely goes downhill. So, "4-mile hill is pure fiction! Does anyone else have any other local myths they wish to dispel? R753
The Irish Recce. Our apologies for the lack of a report and any photos covering the four days we spent in the Wicklow Mountains - but good news! Iโm hoping to give a short presentation with the help of the club projector at this weeks meeting. Donโt miss it. Trip planned for September next year.
Can I please have the remainder of the Christmas house party (20th December at The Merchants Manor Hotel) money in at the next meeting on 31st October please. ยฃ15pp.
There are some places available still so if anyone would like to join us, just let me have the full payment of ยฃ25.
Christmas do update - The vegan option is the same as the Vegetarian option with a change from clotted cream too sorbet. There are now 19 Wheelers signed up for a great night out. There are still some places available so please let me know if you'd like to join us. Just ยฃ25 for a 3 course dinner and dancing. ยฃ10 deposit required asap please. You'll find the menu on the webpage. Thanks
Sorry to be difficult, but I will not be doing the Pathfinder this month - so if anyone wants to fill this slot, please feel free to do so. My planned one will now be submitted for 2020 - probably/hopefully in April or thereabouts.. R753
Minutes of September meeting now in the members area of the Forum.
40 riders have entered the 500k Audax that leaves Pendennis Castle at 9.00am tomorrow morning (Saturday). I am hoping to go and wave them off. I'm working In Penzance from 8 so won't be able to ride with them or go for breakfast but am happy to see them on their way.
Please accept my apologies for not being able to Chair the meeting this evening. The
meeting will be in Fred's capable hands and normal service will resume next Month.
It's getting cooler already so let Paula know if you want to order a Falmouth Wheelers long sleeve jersey this winter.
Apologies to Robin for my absence yesterdays Pathfinder . I unfortunately failed to read the message board and arrived at the usual meeting point only to discover that no one would arrive. I left Falmouth to attempt to find you all but was unable to do so.
Meet at the Norway Inn at 8:45 on Sunday for the ride to the start of the Pathfinder.
If you are able to join us on the 22nd for the Pathfinder and still haveโnt put your order in for lunch I would be grateful if you could do that today as it will make things a whole lot easier for the pub on what is already a busy day for them. The menu is on the website.
For any of those on the French trip who are still not sure theyโll make it we can phone those orders through on the Sunday morning. โ๏ธRobin
Congratulations to Janet Watson on coming 8th in age at the World 70.3 Ironman Championships in Nice this week. Jan puts her success down to training with the OGIL.
What is it about the Cornish and weather? I have already heard "my dear 'tis freezun" - and that was in August! R753
Perhaps you should tell the weather gods Richard, it certainly feels like Autumn not Summer outside.
