Some of us - the more 'sedate' riders - really enjoyed our ride to Portreath on Sunday. The weather was near perfect, not too hot! Out via Halvar****le, Penmarth, Mawla, Dolcoath and Tuckingmill. We noticed how much easier going down Portreath Hill was than going up! We opted for the Tideline café where the service was as usual very prompt with an added sense of humour from the staff. I have to say that my 'Full English' was probably the best ever! We returned up the valley to Redruth and then onwards and upwards to the top of Lanner Hill, then over and down to Penhalvean where I parted company for a coffee at Stithians Lake. Nice day out with the usual good company. Thanks all - R753
Many thanks Simon and team for yet another excellent M&M ride - I echo all that Kath said. R753
Many thanks to all involved in Sunday's Mines and Mineral Audax ride. It's a great route, lovely distance and Pasties and Cream Teas as refreshments. What's not to like. The weather this year was just about perfect too.

Please remember your £10 deposit for the Christmas do. I’ll be at the meeting on Thursday evening. December 20th at the Merchants Manor Hotel. Thanks.
There is now a gpx file for the ON-road Mines & Minerals. Email me if you need one.
Suggest some may want to meet at Devoran (trail car park) at 6 pm tomorrow for the pub ride to the Roseland Inn - instead of HQ. Ferries run on the hour and every twenty minutes - so you should make the 6:40 ferry ok.
Don't forget to get your entries for the Mines & Minerals to me by next Friday 21st June if you want to order food. I have to order the pasties that day.
Anyone riding up tomorrow? Leaving Norway Inn at 7:40.
Martyn - details of your Pathfinder on the website, but where? More to the point, where is Shell Woods? ta R753
Hi Dave.
I'm very interested in teh trip to France but I'm taking the family to a show in Plymouth on 7th so it could be difficult for me to join you on that day.

Hello, this is kiwi Dave. I am trying to organise a trip to Brittany in September around the 7th, I would arrange the ferry and accommodation and then we would work out where we are heading the night before. If your'e interested let me know so that I can get on book it.
I forgot to mention at the last Meeting that the Annual Meal at the Lizard, Polpeor Cafe organised by Steve Lightfoot has been booked for Friday 12th July. Please contact Steve or someone who can pass a message to Steve is you would like to go. It's always a good night out in a stunning setting. I am unsure of the time but it is either 6 or 6.30. I'll let Steve confirm the time when you make arrangements.
Chaps, thanks for waiting for me today in the cold and wet conditions. Hope I didn't slow you all up too much.
Christmas Do details are on the News page now. Please have a look and let me know if you'd like to come along. I require a £10pp deposit by 20th July (next meeting please) I know its really early but we're getting a really great deal on this venue. We can fill the whole venue with Wheelers!
Hello there
I am investigation a fail to stop RTC that took place in St Wenn on the 19/05/2019 involved a silver and Red Golf. I believe some of the members may have scene the manor of driving
Suggest meeting at the Norway Inn at 8:00am tomorrow for those riding up for Richards Pathfinder. Coffee stop at McDonalds.
Could I settle the argument about '4 Mile Hill' once and for all? From Gweek to Edgcumbe - 4 miles it may just be, but certainly not a continuous climb! Starting from the lowest point where the road crosses the stream it is 2.84 miles (roughly 2 miles and 1526 yards) to where it levels off before a slight descent - this is the extent of the CONTINUOUS climb. I guess we can still call it '4-Mile Hill' unless someone can think of another name for it! R753.
Thanks to everyone who helped with the Audax last Sunday - Richard, Jo, and I had a very enjoyable ride round the Red River, Blue Sea route, 110k in perfect sunshine and not too much wind. Stunning views along the north coast, a warm welcome and food at Gwithian (twice) and Margaret's famous crumble and custard when we finished. Altogether, a great day out!
Just a reminder that the Pathfinder from Victoria Roche on Sunday 19th starts next to the petrol station the Bodmin side of the Roche turning and not at the Victoria Inn! R753
Riding down to Hayle tomorrow for Penzance Wheelers Prostate ride. Only doing the short route. Leaving Crane Garage 0800hours
