Tour of Britain 2020

The route of the first stage of the 2020 tour, from penzance to Bodmin, via Falmouth, was launched at Bodmin on Monday. This is a great opportunity for the club to promote its self and become involved in this great sporting occasion. Kath will be inviting those who want to get involved to join a working group early in the new year.

What’s on in December

Dec 1st – The Christmas Tree festival at the Princess Pavilion. Barbara and Denise will be decorating the FW’s tree on Saturday 30th, and the lights go on at 6pm on Sunday, after carol singing from 5.30pm. Fantastic Quiz Night

Thanks to Martyn,  Margaret and Adrian for yet another evening filled with quizzical looks , thoughtful moments and a lot of fun. Who knew that St.Neot was only 18inches tall??? £35.00 was raised from the raffle and thanks to everyone. Roll on to the next one.

Bluebell in Autumn

Although the forecast was for some rain, apart from a few early drops the conditions looked benign enough as a select few (three) assembled at Union Corner. When we reached the other place, the few seemed even more select as the place was deserted. Did we have the right day? we wondered.
