The first Pathfinder of the new season was a great success with 16 riders turning up by the famous bridge at Tresillian. Despite the overcast day and the chill wind from the north it stayed dry and we stayed sheltered between the hedges and in the valleys. There’s a lovely mixture of lanes meandering through mixed woodland and rolling countryside, occasionally skirting the upper reaches of the Fal, with a quick visit to the seaside before our late breakfast/brunch! I’m getting back in the saddle for charity and taking on the Tour de Bristol in aid of St Peter’s Hospice. St Peter’s Hospice provides care and support to adults who are living with a progressive life-limiting illness. I have personal experience of seeing how important care and support is for people living with life-limiting illnesses as the last ten year’s of my Dad’s life were severely affected by Dementia and Leukaemia.
