A damp Ogil ride to Miss Molly’s

With a wet forecast and various excuses being posted in advance, I was pleased when Dean and Simon responded favourably to my intention to ride today. I was in good time and made my wife a second coffee before I left, only to realise I’d forgotten my water bottle. Hastily returning, I was now running late but not as late as Simon who messaged to say he’d meet us at our destination.
Dean and Paul were waiting when I arrived at The Other Place where Miss Molly’s was quickly decided and we were on our way.
We gradually became damper as the fine drizzle found its way through jackets, gloves and shoes on our way to Nine Maidens, on through Troon to Treslothan. Happy to make a shortish route we went straight to Dolcoath arriving around 10.20am, much earlier than usual but we were glad to get indoors. Simon arrived soon after we had found a table and we all settled down to order our food and relax. We talked about long rides and adventures abroad among other things and soon we were off again riding home.
We had glimpses of sunshine and the fine drizzle cleared as we descended into Stithians. Paul sped on as he needed to get back and Simon left us at Penalvean.
A pleasant enough ride considering the weather and excellent company, as always!
A short report for a short ride. Just 35.5 miles for me.
