OGIL’s in the wind

Six met at TOP and braved the weather on this weeks OGIL. The destination was quickly decided as being Miss Molly’s and by the quickest route, which was achievable without Ian. Off up Halvasso and onto the Helton Road where we had a first battering into the wind up to Crane garage. Along past the lake and we had a side wind where we should have formed up into an echelon, but I don’t think the traffic would be best pleased!

We continued on to Troon and down to Treslothan and into the back of Camborne. Simon pushed on ahead as I think he was in a hurry to get there. The shed was vetoed in favour of the wood burner.

As we were early this was going to be a two drink stop, Damian was trying to get his order in even before being seated! The waitress was having none that.

Various topics discussed included, close passing, Parkrun, keels falling of yachts, Russian mafia.

Time to go and it was the usual route home with nothing unusual to write about. Simon and Jan leaving us at Penhalvean. A split at Stithians crossroads saw Damian turn right and the rest straight on up deaf cat alley, hoping to keep out of the wind. We reassembled at the quarry

From there it was straight home.

Usual suspects, Damian, Jan, Simon, Phil S, Steve L.

No house Photographer.

Embarrassing low mileage, but always worth the effort.
