We cycled down to Gweek, and then up Gweek Drive where Jo and Richard 1 and Mike left us. (Something about a rugby match was their excuse !!). We cycled on across Goonhilly with a headwind all the way, then took a right turn at Zoar Garage down to Coverack. This was a possible stop, but nothing was open and so we went on to Roskillys arriving there at 11.30. Oh No ! Hot food was not served until 12 o’clock and so we had to opt for coffee and cake instead !
Refreshed we went back through St. Keverne, down a narrow road covered in hedge cuttings and back to the main road to Garras. We took a left turning to Culdrose where Liz left us to go back via Gweek. A few miles down the road there was a shout from Sonjia who had a flat tyre. All hands to the pump – well, the three of us – wheel out, inner tube ready…..oh dear ! Wrong size ! I had a spare one which was a bit small, but thought I’d give it a try, but bang – that one went. The repair kit came out and the tube was put in again……but alas the tyre went flat again. We had one more try with no success, so Sonjia had to phone Jane. She kindly picked up the bike and Sonjia.
