Breakfast Ride: 8 July

The idea behind the Big Breakfast Ride is to get a cross section of the club riding together and sitting down for a sociable breakfast. With all the different riding groups having their set routines on Sunday morning we thought we would try running the Big Breakfast Ride on a Saturday morning starting at 8-30 am from HQ. Only three wheelers turned up, myself, Fred and Don with Ian meeting us at Halvasso.
Undaunted the four us set off from to our breakfast destination Jenn’s Diner.

Our route was down past the quarry then left at the Greek Church then around the back of Stithians to Penhalvean, then up Buller Hill to pick up the road down to Redruth, coming out by the viaduct. Then through the traffic lights and on to the Portreath cycle path to Jenn’s Diner. It was busy with various motorcycle groups and families enjoying eating out at the weekend. We sat outside and all ordered the full english breakfast, which arrived quite quickly and was enjoyed by all. Our route back, took us through Redruth with a right turn at top of Lanner hill down Buller Hill and around the dam to Crane Garage. Although there was on four wheelers on the ride it was an enjoyable experience for all of us. It was good to have a chat with Don, who I don’t ride with very often these days. We would like some feedback from club members on the best day to run the next Big Breakfast Ride.

Steve, Fred, Ian and Don…….35 miles
