We had a successful carnival meeting last night. If you are taking part meet at Falmouth Rugby Club from 5.30 ready to leave at 6.30.

Following on from this evening's meeting, there will be a meeting at Kath's house on 6 August for all those intending to enter the Carnival. Meeting starts at 6.30 pm, prompt. This year's theme is "The Falmouth Stealers". Nothing to do with Reynolds tubing, Richard, but you are still expected to be there.

Le Tour: Watched the brilliant Alpine Stage 11 between Albertville and La Rosiere Espace San Bernardo. More to the point – with the Froome-obsessed media coverage, especially the BBC – what a joy to see Geraint Thomas’ superb win: cracking viewing watching him conquering everyone in such style. To be the virtual Yellow Jersey holder, and then to confirm it with such a striking and impressive win. Congratulations to that man – probably the best stage win in a Grand Tour I have ever seen! R75

Fantastic Pathfinder today......wow!
Lovely scenery, great company, a beautiful coffe stop and wonderful pub garden lunch.
Thank you for organising a fabulous day out for the seventeen Wheelers who made the effort to cycle or travel to Noth Cornwall.
Well done to the new ‘slim’ Raymondo who must have ridden over 120 miles!

I'll be starting from Tresillian layby just past Mercedes garage on Sunday to go to Simon's pathfinder. 7.45am it's about 23 miles on the direct route if anyone wants to join in. Can offer lift for one.
