Remembering Vanessa Carpenter

Vanessa (left) passed away at home with her family around her. She was a much loved member of Falmouth Wheelers Cycle Club who did a number of Charity rides for Cornwall Hospice & Women’s National Cancer charities with her fellow Falmouth Wheelers Denise, Sonia & Jane. Funeral arrangements:- Service on Friday the 11th of July at Mullion Methodist Church 11-30am

Orwellermen’s Charity Ride Friday 13th June

The final leg of their charity ride is from Bodmin to Falmouth. Three of us, Danny, Dale and Ian, (courtesy of Robin Snelson transport) are escorting them from Bodmin for the whole ride. Suffolk Wolf Way Cycle Trip – April ‘25

We planned to ride the Wolf Way after seeing an article in the Cycling Uk magazine last year – I come from Suffolk so I wanted to go back home and re-visit all the old haunts from my childhood and we had my niece’s wedding to go to on the 18th of April too. Six OGIL to Portreath

Today’s OGIL built slowly from four riders at Union Corner, to six by the top of Halvasso. The slightly chilly North Westerly wind determined a destination on the North coast and Portreath quickly became the favoured option. The 50/50 split of conventional and sparkies was handled well and as a group we rode steadily through Rame, Penmarth and Nine Maidens as we made our way to Barripper.
