The September Pathfinder will start from the large free carpark at Sourton Services just this side of Oakhampton. Postcode EX20 4LY (Sofa.trifling.paves)
There is an excellent opportunity for coffee at the start at Devon Cycle hire with this stunning ride being about 20 miles long finishing with a flat ride and at a great view point. There are a couple of lumpy bits too. (Approx 1700ft) The pub lunch has plenty of covered outside space with a variety of choices for a snack lunch or something a little more filling.
See If you wished to make a longer weekend of it there is pub car park camping behind The Highway Inn, Sourton. All they ask is that you purchase a meal in the pub where there are plenty of meat, vegetarian and vegan options. Access to a loo overnight is made available. Call the pub to request an overnight stay. It really is the most interesting and rather bizarre pub experience. The other camping option is Bundu campsite EX20 4HT which is located next to Pump and Pedal.
If the weather is looking particularly inclement we will cancel as this route needs to be ridden on a fine day so that the scenery can be seen at its best.

I don’t know what you were both reading this on, but on my laptop the date – Sept.25th – shows quite clearly at the top! You’re right, there’s no start time shown but it’s usually 1000. If it’s different, please let us know, Kath! To drive to the start will take about one and a half hours, depending on your speed, but the roads should be quiet on a Sunday.
