The Club Audax rides are back to their usual Easter position in the Audax Kernow Calendar. Starting at Falmouth Cricket Club two routes are on offer; A Cornish Hundred, that’s kilometres, and the 50K Bunny Hop. Link to the online entry form here or ask Phil Conroy for an application form.
We passed Amanda, carefully ascending the Carnon Downs bypass. Her understanding of a Club Pathfinder was, perhaps, different to mine, as I hear that on reaching Indian Queens she turned for home again. OGIL ride report 23rd February 2022 The weather turned out to be a bit of a tease today. The forecast was promising, but as we rode up from Union Corner the sky assumed an ominous leaden hue. Twenty four members attended the club AGM. Apologies were received from Phil Conroy, Charlie and Jill Prior, Steve Hudson, and KK. Approval of the minutes of last year’s AGM were proposed by Dean and seconded by Martyn. Fred gave the Chairman’s report, commenting on a very successful and busy year; with restrictions lifting, we were able to enjoy four Pathfinders, the Coast and Clay sportive, our club Audax, the Welsh trip for four members, and a lovely Christmas tree at […] Read More
Six met at TOP and braved the weather on this weeks OGIL. The destination was quickly decided as being Miss Molly’s and by the quickest route, which was achievable without Ian. Off up Halvasso and onto the Helton Road where we had a first battering into the wind up to Crane garage. OGIL ride report 2nd February 2022 Twelve of us milled around fairly aimlessly at TOP, perhaps slightly nonplussed at the unseasonably mild weather for the first OGIL ride of February. Another bonus day, and a great ride to the Sunset Surf cafe at Gwithian. As has been the norm for the last few weeks, I said I would go a shorter route so as not to hold up the boy, and girl, racers.
