At 7.43am it was drizzling and Mystic Meg started to receive the first excuses on the WhatsAp OGIL group. Nineteen Wheelers on seventeen bikes enjoyed an excellent Pathfinder on Sunday. About half of us drove up to Roche and parked by the BP garage just off the A30, while the others rode the whole way, or part of it. The Pathfinder route was a clockwise loop up to Wadebridge and back, a modest 23 miles but with some of the toughest climbs we’ve had to tackle, so it all balanced out, and justified a good lunch! With fine weather ahead we had to decide whether it was a Poldhu, Perranuthnoe or Gwithian day. It turned out to be a Perranuthnoe day. (Great choice). An incredible eight left Union Corner, minus our Chair, who didn’t even post her lame excuse until 9am, but joined by new rider, Georgie B, who with Frankie brought the average age of riders down by about two decades.
