The rumour that Phil3 was buying the drinks even brought the M&Ms out of retirement this morning, though it was only tea and coffee on offer at the Poldhu Beach. Seventeen riders, including a guest from One and All, joined Simon’s Pathfinder from Chapel Amble, north of Wadebridge on Sunday, with five of us driving up and meeting in the village, ten driving part-way and cycling the rest, and two (Robin and Raymond!) doing the whole round trip, which must have been well over 100 miles. Although the OGILs ride on Wednesday had already been to St. Mawes, Robin’s suggestion to go there on Sunday was greeted with enthusiasm, and 15 of us set off via Truro Hill, Suicide Alley and Devoran. At union corner was Sylvia, new rider Dave, who could hardly be called an OGILLER, (neither can Sylvia) Phil, Helston Trevor and myself.
